Eckart Runge’s experience and versatility make him one of the most internationally sought-after chamber musicians.
In 2019, Runge will team up with renowned Italian quartet Quartetto di Cremona to record an album that will include their rendition of the famous String Quintet in C major D.956 by Franz Schubert. This project will be followed by an international concert tour.
Another greatly anticipated project in the 2018/19 season will be a trio with the brilliant saxophonist Asya Fateyewa and the stunning Danish accordionist Andreas Borregaard, which will explore Bach’s Goldberg Variations in a unique arrangement.
In the summer of 2019, Runge will be re-invited to attend the Krzyzowa Chamber Music Festival in Poland as ‘senior artist’. This festival, curated by the eminent violinist Viviane Hagner, brings experienced and young artists to explore, rehearse and perform chamber music together.
